Spilled Grain Brewhouse is an award winning small batch taproom, located in Annandale Minnesota. In addition to the fourteen craft beers on tap, our historic and family friendly brewery also makes our own award winning root beer and has a wide variety of entertainment options. Spilled Grain hosts numerous events throughout the year including food trucks, live music, parking lot parties, fundraisers, and private events.
Spilled Grain Brewhouse has proudly won over forty craft beer medals in some of the largest competitions in the USA, including two at the lauded Great American Beer Festival. (Check out awards here)
Origin Story
The scene; 2014, Mom’s group, Annandale Minnesota. All good things come from great minds working together. In our case it was the Moms of Annandale group. One family was becoming expert brewers. One knew about marketing. One had an awesome building and the skills to create a historic taproom. And one knew how to set up a small business to make sure things run smoothly. So with the wisdom and vision of a mom’s group connection, Spilled Grain Brewhouse was born.
The Name:
SPILLED GRAIN BREWHOUSE
Deep in the annals of Annandale history (actually about 1980), one of the co-founders saw a train derail, spilling grain all over the tracks (pictured below). Our brewhouse is located just across the street from those train tracks. So every time we hear the train pass by, we are reminded to be thankful for not seeing grain go to waste ever again!
What We Believe
Quality
Our brewhouse was designed to focus on ‘small batch‘ production. Every batch is a labor of love. We like it that way. Every growler and crowler filled by our staff. We’d sacrifice size for the quality that was our original passion.
Community
Our goal is to be part of where people come together and are there for each other. Our taproom is family friendly and a historic tribute to Annandale. And we started ‘Spill it Forward’ to support local causes that mean something to all of us. We run several fundraising events per year to give to the community that supports us and have donated tens of thousands so far and growing! Honored of being selected Annandale Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year in 2016 for Outstanding Dedication and Service.

Our tight-knit team is focused on great quality and a great customer experience. We know how many options people have in their lives and we fight to be one of yours. And yes, you get to try all the beer when you join the Spilled Grain Family.
Spill it Forward
We have raised tens of thousands of dollars for local non-profits and families through our Spill it Forward charitable organization. Look for special events where we can give back to the community that supports us so very much!
